Working principle of rake vacuum dryer

Vacuum rake dryer is mainly composed of shell, rotating shaft and rake teeth. Different from the paddle dryer, the rotary shaft and rake teeth of the vacuum rake dryer are not used as heating surfaces, they are only used to stir materials and renew the surface. The rake dryer is vacuum operated. Firstly, the wet materials are added into the dryer, and the heating medium (usually steam or hot water can also be used as heat transfer oil) is introduced into the jacket. Then, the vacuum pump is started. After reaching the specified vacuum degree, the mixing device is started. By using the forward and reverse rotation of the rake teeth, the materials are continuously pushed to the middle and both ends in the drying process Four stainless steel bars (seamless steel tubes) can also be placed according to the user's requirements. They move up and down continuously during the rotation of the shaft, vibrate the materials bonded on the wall and crush the agglomerated materials. Through these measures, the heat transfer surface can be updated in time, thus accelerating the rate of heat and mass transfer. When the material is dried to the specified moisture, stop heating, turn off the vacuum system, take out the dried material, and complete the operation of one cycle. This kind of dryer is suitable for the drying of pulp, paste, granular and fibrous materials, especially for the drying operation of heat sensitive materials and the recovery of organic vapor. The vacuum rake dryer has many advantages. There are two basic forms of rake teeth of vacuum rake dryer, i.e. left and right rake teeth. There are two kinds of special-shaped and pulp blade types in both left and right directions. When installing, the orientation difference between adjacent rake teeth is 90 degrees. The special-shaped rake teeth are installed at both ends of the shaft, and the rest are installed with pulp blade type rake teeth. When the shaft rotates, the material moves to both sides first and then to the middle under the action of the mixing shaft, which can ensure that the material is always in a uniform mixing state in the whole drying process.

The commonly used drying medium of vacuum rake dryer is 0.1-0.3mpa steam, heat-conducting oil or hot water. The vacuum degree in the dryer is 50-90kpa, the material filling rate is 30% - 80%, and the thermal efficiency is 70% - 80%. The shaft speed is 6-30rpm stepless speed regulation.
