A belt dryer for sludge
Sewage sludge is mechanically dewatered to about 20 - 30% DS content and is extruded in a special extruder. The pellets fall directly into the perforated conveyor belt and form a pile for good ventilation. The product is sent to the dryer tunnel, where hot air flows through careful drying.Conveyor belt takes product slowly through dryer tunnel. Mechanical strain images such as friction, shear or centrifugation emphasize minimization through this forced belt conveyor. This is particularly important to overcome in the dry thixotropic phase.
The system can work without remixing and dry up to the requested final moisture in one channel. This provides a smooth and continuous operation without loneliness, entrepreneurship and downtime.
The residence time in the drying zone can be adjusted to minutes of frequency controlled drives. Therefore, the dryer can adapt to very good, very flexible ^ different requirements (throughput, DS content, drying temperature).
In the homogenized product structure, it ensures very stable drying and produces high quality, dust-free particles, which is all the further methods of disposal.
