Why is the pellet dried?
If the green ball is not dry and enters the preheating zone with a large amount of water, the water in the ball will evaporate violently, which will split and even burst. However, the raw pellets without sufficient drying are directly roasted in high temperature zone without bursting in time. Due to the high moisture content in the ball and the evaporation absorption of a large amount of heat energy, the pellet can not rise to the specified temperature quickly, which will inevitably prolong the roasting time, reduce the productivity and cause serious fuel consumption. In addition, it is necessary to dry the pellets with magnetite concentrate or ore powder.
In the traditional iron concentrate drying process, the drying furnace is set at the feed end of the rotary drum dryer, and the waste gas pipe is set at the discharge end, so that the material flow and hot flue gas flow in the same direction. The disadvantages of this process are:
1. The average temperature difference between flue gas and iron concentrate is small, the heat exchange efficiency is low, and the energy consumption is large;
2. The size of the equipment is large, the initial investment cost is high, and the operation cost is high;
3. As the feeding chute is set in the high temperature flue gas area, the belt of the feeding belt conveyor and the lining plate of the feeding chute will be damaged by hot air pouring or hot flue gas baking;
4. Due to the cross between the feed chute and the hot air pipe of the drying furnace, the feeding chute will reduce the air supply area of the hot air pipeline of the drying furnace;
5. The high temperature flue gas in the dryer can not be discharged in time when the dryer accident occurs or the furnace is dried in the early stage of production, which makes it very difficult to deal with the drying and production accidents;
6. The forced ventilation process is adopted for the dry waste gas. Due to no effective measures taken at the feed end and the discharge end, the air leakage is serious and the working load of the dust removal fan and dust collector is increased.

Drying process of iron concentrate pellet dryer:

3. After heat exchange between dry hot air and wet iron concentrate material flow, it is discharged into rotary drum dryer through waste gas pipeline,
4. The dried iron concentrate flows to the outlet of the rotary drum dryer,
5. Adopting drag discharge mode, that is, the running speed of the discharging belt conveyor is reduced from 1.1-1.3 M / s to 0.7-0.8 M / s, so that the dried iron concentrate at the outlet of the rotary drum dryer is in the stacking state, and the outlet of the rotary drum dryer is in the material sealing state,
6. The iron concentrate discharged slowly from the discharge port to the discharge belt conveyor is evenly dragged out and sent to the next process.
Features of iron concentrate pellet dryer are as follows:

7. Due to the good heat transfer effect, the drying cylinder size of rotary drum dryer can be reduced and the equipment investment can be reduced;
8. The drying furnace is equipped with smoke @, which can discharge high-temperature flue gas in case of an accident of the dryer without damaging the dryer; it can also be used in the drying of the furnace at the initial stage of production, because there is no material passing through the drying cylinder of the rotary drum dryer, The equipment is unable to resist the high temperature flue gas during drying, so the high temperature flue gas is discharged in time through the smoke? 9. As the feeding chute is close to the low temperature area of flue gas, the flue gas will not burn the belt of the feeding belt conveyor and the lining plate of the feeding chute;
10. The outlet of the feed chute should be close to the inner wall of the rotary drum dryer as far as possible, so that the materials discharged from the chute will seal the outlet of the feeding chute, and the external cold air will not enter the drying cylinder of the rotary drum dryer, thus playing the role of air lock;
11. Increase the effective area of hot air pipe of drying furnace, the resistance of hot air is small and the flow rate is large;
12. The way of dragging discharging is to block the outlet of the dryer through the dried iron concentrate, and the discharging belt conveyor slowly and evenly pulls out the iron concentrate. At the same time, the dried iron concentrate is continuously added to the discharge outlet to form a dynamic balance, that is, the balance between the feed and discharge, so that there is no fire or air leakage in this area, which fundamentally solves the drying workshop Serious pollution, low drying efficiency and high equipment failure rate;
